Geoff Kruth finally resigned from ‘GuildSomm’ last week. Many women put allegations of dragging them into sex. Almost eleven women regarding sexual misconduct in a few of the interviews. One of the women said that he slid his finger in her underpants without warning in 2013. While another one said that, he coerced her into sex and promised her he would advance with her. He greeted another woman in his hotel naked after inviting her for tasting. After getting so many accusations, he finally resigns from the documentary. Although he is one of the famous personalities, yet these dirty allegations came on his head. He is the founder as well as the president of GuildSomm. It is one of the wine educational organizations for the top sommeliers.

Last week, Geoff Kruth resigned last week after an article published in the New York Times. In the post, eleven women mentioned accusations regarding sexual assault and harassment. The accusations came on his head just like a huge blast, as he was not ready for the throw. After the post, the reporters could not immediately reach Geoff.

Among all the claims that came on his head, there were cases of groping, coercing into sex. Apart from that, he even approached another woman by sending an invite for oral sex on Facebook. Kruth’s attorney mentioned the Times regarding his denial about impropriety. In addition, sexual liaisons are consensual. The article, which the New York Times posted, alleges a massive culture of sexism as well as sexual misconduct. It also highlighted the dirty world of elite wine professionals.

Everything implicates the prestigious Court of Master Sommeliers. After finding the Americas Chapter of the Court in 1997, about 155 people achieved the master sommelier status. Among those, Kruth was the one who got the chance to feature in the Netflix documentary Somm. Out of 155 people, about 131 are men.

In one of the statements following articles in Times, Court of Master Sommeliers Chairman Devon Broglie mentioned facts about Kruth. He said that the Kruth’s group of GuildSomm is not affiliated with the Court. In addition, Kruth is definitely not a leading educator for the Court. Broglie said, ‘Racism, sexism, or any other discrimination has no place in the Court of Master Sommeliers. Also, the Americas and the hospitality industry is not a part of it as well.’
